I am enjoying my retirement by working daily in my state of the art workshop in Houston, Texas. At the age of eight I started building my own wooden toys and the love of this craft developed over a lifetime.
In retirement I am continuing this development of skills through study with master craftsmen:
Pete Galbert, Master Chair Maker, New York
Mike Dunbar, Windsor Institute in New Hampshire
Ernie Conover, Master Turner and writer, Ohio
and I carved a Carousel horse with Joe Leonard in Ohio.
I especially enjoy sessions studying at Colonial Williamsburg.
My work can be seen at The Brookwood Community Gift Shop, Brookshire, Texas and Bering's Hardware Children's Fine Gift shops in Houston, Texas, and juried Art/Craft shows in the Houston area.
Making heirloom toys and gifts for Children that will last a lifetime and through the playtime years has made me a contented woodworker.
